The Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) is the leading event for cities, and Hexagon is excited to be an Industry Partner again in 2019.

The Congress, to be held 19-21 November 2019, in Barcelona, Spain, will attract more than 25,000 visitors and over 1,000 exhibitors from 140 countries around the world. (WOW!)

This year’s theme is Cities Made of Dreams, reflecting the hope of the anonymous quote, “the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” After all, the future is not that far off. The future of smart cities is now.

We’re about two months out from the event, and here are a few things we’re already looking forward to...

Innovative Technologies

How can AI empower first responders? Can a digital version of your city make it safer? Is it possible for all city departments to have access to a central, real-time common operational picture? Get answers to these questions and more.

Exciting Collaborations

Hexagon works with thousands of partners around the world every day. At the SCEWC trade fair, discover new synergistic technologies and solutions for building safer, smarter cities. Be sure to visit the Hexagon stand (C-3430), as well as our partner’s, Microsoft.

Empowering Speakers

Smart City Expo World Congress will feature more than 400 speakers. This includes people like Rob Meikle, CIO of the city of Toronto, Monique List-de-Roos, vice mayor of the city of Eindhoven, and Hexagon’s own Kalyn Sims and Product Manager Pascal Strupler.

Inspiring Sessions

The 400+ empowering speakers will lead dozens of inspiring sessions on the trade fair floor and inside the Congress area. How inspiring? Just check out the partial infographic above from SCEWC 2017, which was hand-drawn during the Plenary Session, “Engaging and Empowering People Using Data and Digital Innovations.”

With three days of sessions spanning five key aspects of smart cities, the Congress agenda is packed full of empowering speakers, inspirational sessions, and multiple ways to collaborate with other forward-thinking leaders working toward making their cities smarter.

Hexagon is proud to be an Industry Partner of SCEWC 2019, and we want you to be there with us.
