Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure is pleased to announce that Brian Dunkle, regional sales manager for Americas public safety, was awarded the Texas Chapter of the National Emergency Number Association (TX-NENA) President’s Award at the recent Texas Public Safety Conference on April 8-11 in Galveston.
The award honors Brian’s dedication and service to the organization over the past year for his role as a Chapter Commercial Advisory Member (CCAM) and for mentoring the new CCAM who took over his position. Brian was also recognized for his Hurricane Harvey Relief Team fundraising and distribution center efforts that provided critical relief items necessary for public safety personnel affected by the hurricane to recover.
Brian was also nominated for the TX-NENA Cottingham Collaboration award. The Cottingham Collaboration Award honors an individual who shows exemplary leadership in advancing 911 in Texas through collaborative efforts between government and industry partners.
This award was established in memory of Ronald Cottingham and is dedicated to his mission of improving 911 through collaboration. Ronald Cottingham loved emergency communications professionals and strongly believed that collaboration is the best way to move 911 services forward in Texas. The Cottingham Collaboration Award recognizes a 911 professional who not only excels in his or her every day job, but who goes above and beyond to further the goals of TX-NENA.
