Earlier this month, Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure participated as a sponsor and exhibitor at the Danish National GIS Conference, Kortdage, in Aarhus, Denmark.
Kortdage takes place once a year. This year, the conference welcomed the Danish Minister for Energy, Utilities, and Climate, Lars Christian Lilleholt, who visited two booths at the exhibition, one of which was Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure’s.
The Minister had a short talk with Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure’s Danish Country Manager Jackie Sandgaard. The two gentlemen discussed some of the current utility issues facing Denmark, including: how to optimize the Danish Register of Underground Cable owners (LER – the Danish Call-Before-You-Dig service), and the need for standardizing data and data formats when utilities are benchmarked.
Besides meeting the Minister, Jackie used his industry experience as the moderator on the conference’s utilities track. His colleague, Peter Alsing, gave a presentation on drone data and how to leverage it, as well as a sponsor presentation on Hexagon Geospatial’s Smart M.Apps, which discussed new ways of working with remote sensing.
Hexagon Safety and Infrastructure is proud to be among the frontrunners in these domains and to be able to share our experiences with the decision makers in the industry.
Last, but not least, many new and old acquaintances stopped by the Hexagon booth to watch a demo, catch up, or participate in a virtual world expedition to win the title of the Best World Explorer.
Here are a few pictures of our presence at Kortage 2016.
