Last week in Hannover, Germany, Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure teamed up with Huawei during CeBIT 2018 to showcase solutions that support the development of Safe and Smart Cities. Drawing attendees from around the world, the annual event features exhibits, multiple conference tracks, and networking opportunities focusing on the digitalization of business, government, and society.
During the conference, Hexagon demonstrated Intergraph OnCall Dispatcher, which provides core call-taking and dispatching via browsers, and Intergraph Planning & Response across several areas in Huawei’s booth. I had the chance to talk to many booth visitors about how incident command enables collaboration between emergency services and other city services.
Claudio Mingrino, vice president of global strategic initiatives for Hexagon Geospatial, and I had the opportunity to present on Huawei’s centre stage. Mingrino discussed Hexagon’s and Huawei’s solutions for modern, connected, and integrated Safe and Smart Cities. I presented on Hexagon’s crisis management solution, Intergraph Planning & Response. It ensures efficient and effective processes and collaboration for planned major events and unplanned disasters and emergencies.
