Recently, Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure exhibited at the annual European Emergency Number Association (EENA) Conference as a Gold sponsor, welcoming more than 700 participants from over 55 countries to our booth in Ljubljana, Slovenia. An NGO based in Brussels, EENA’s mission is to help improve the response of the emergency services.
The EENA 2018 conference and exhibition was a great place for us to reach emergency service agencies and industry leaders across Europe, especially those in Eastern Europe. Our product portfolio nicely aligns to EENA’s vision that “every citizen can access emergency services quickly and receive the appropriate information and care during an emergency or a disaster.” During the conference, we demonstrated our latest software for incident management and crisis management.
As Hexagon Safety & Infrastructure’s industry leader for public safety in the EMEA region, I opened a presentation for social media monitoring company PublicSonar in the venue’s Innovation Theatre. The session titled, “Social Media in the Emergency Services Control Room,” focused on how to extract relevant and manageable volumes of information from the torrent of messages on the Internet. We also discussed how to integrate this information with the day-to-day workflow of the control room, so it can be used effectively to augment the operator’s picture of events.
Thank you to the members of EENA and PublicSonar for making this another successful event.
