Boston Police Use Records Management to Enhance Community and Officer Safety

In June, we announced the Boston Police Department's deployment of Intergraph InPursuit records management systems, an enterprise information management solution designed to help law enforcement agencies manage police reports and analyze crime data. The implementation was a four-year project that replaced a 40-year-old, home-grown documentation system. With inPURSUIT, Boston Police are able to link individuals to multiple types of information, such as cases, vehicles and addresses, giving officers more insight for criminal investigations.

Last week, GCN published an article about Boston Police’s recent deployment of Intergraph’s inPURSUIT records management system. GCN’s Derek Major interviewed Boston Police Deputy Superintendent John Daley to understand how the new system will help the department be more efficient, enhancing community and officer safety.
